Ljubljana, June 13, 2024: Following today’s contract signing, Jezeršek Catering will serve as the official catering provider at the Slovenia House from July 26 to August 11, 2024, in partnership with selected suppliers, responsible for showcasing Slovenian cuisine and delivering high-quality catering services. Joining the Jezeršek team this time are four finalists from the "With Jezeršek to the Slovenia House 2024" competition and the 2024 Hospitality Ambassador Klara Šmigoc.

Jezeršek, a Major Partner of Slovenia House Paris 2024

Jezeršek Catering, a leading catering company with over 40 years of tradition and experience in delivering unforgettable culinary experiences, has today signed a cooperation agreement with the Olympic Committee of Slovenia – Association of Sports Federations, becoming a major partner of the Slovenia House in Paris.As the official catering provider at the Slovenia House from July 26 to August 11, 2024, Jezeršek Catering will be responsible for presenting Slovenian cuisine along with their suppliers.

"I am pleased that today we signed a contract with Jezeršek Catering, which will undoubtedly ensure a top-notch culinary experience at the Slovenia House. This will be the largest Slovenia House to date, and organizers expect around 100,000 visitors to pass by the house daily. We have worked with Jezeršek Catering multiple times before. I know they are exceptional caterers, and I believe they will provide an excellent, authentic Slovenian culinary experience. With a touch of France, of course. Ensuring that gourmets and food enthusiasts in France are satisfied is the hallmark of Jezeršek Catering," emphasized OKS – ZŠZ President Franjo Bobinac at the signing.

Suppliers to the Slovenia House Are Also Jezeršek’s Business Partners

Jezeršek Catering continues its tradition of participating in the world's most important sporting event – the Olympic Games. In 1992, they catered for 25 Slovenian athletes and other guests in Albertville. In 2018, Slovenian delicacies once again delighted visitors at the Slovenia House at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, crafted by Jezeršek’s culinary masters.

Jezeršek Catering's role at the Slovenia House Paris 2024 is even greater. In addition to providing comprehensive catering services, they are also responsible for planning the suppliers for the Slovenia House in collaboration with OKS – ZŠZ. Among these are Jezeršek Catering's long-time business partners: Koželj in collaboration with selected Slovenian winemakers, Fructal, Conditus, Vigros, Steyer, Argeta, Winterhalter, BWT operated by A-VODA, Proprima, Menard RA, K-Servis, Kimi, Geaprodukt, Kras, Kocbek, Sirarstvo Videc, Mlekarna Planika, Kmetija Pustotnik, and Kodila.

Top Slovenian Cuisine at the Slovenia House

The Slovenia House is a place where the flavors of Slovenian cuisine, tradition, and hospitality come together. Jezeršek Catering aims to contribute to a unique culinary experience for all guests exploring Slovenia's rich cultural heritage through its flavors."We will serve guests authentic Slovenian ‘lunch called Južina’, featuring cured meat delicacies, selected cheeses from across Slovenia, and delicious hot dishes, including Idrija dumplings, rolled dumplings, buckwheat risotto, Piran sea bass, Carniolan sausage, pan-fried dishes, winning pastries, and treats from the sweet pantry," describes chef Luka Jezeršekof the diverse culinary offerings. "Of course, we haven't forgotten the medalists either, as we will treat guests of the Slovenia House to the famous French dessert croquembouche to celebrate their exceptional achievements,"he adds.

In addition to hosting Slovenian medal winners, the Slovenia House will also be used for business meetings and foreign delegations. "We are delighted to be able to present Slovenian cuisine to foreign guests as well, further enhancing Slovenia's recognition on the world gastronomic map," explains Luka Jezeršek. Jezeršek Catering will prepare a special seated lunch for selected guests at the Slovenia House in collaboration with Slovenia's top chef and three-Michelin-star recipient Ana Roš and her team from Hiša Franko.

A 23-Member #JezeršekTeam in Paris

This time, a 23-member team of Jezeršek Catering professionals will be present in Paris. In addition to the culinary and service staff, Jezeršek will also bring four promising students, selected through the "With Jezeršek to the Slovenia House 2024" competition, which aims to promote the hospitality profession among young people. Alja Potočar, Eliza Busija, Aljaž Ritmanič, and Luc Jan Slapar will join the professional-work excursion to the Slovenia House in Paris. "We want to provide young people with an unforgettable life experience and show them that working in hospitality and tourism has its advantages, while we, as an employer and talent seeker, also contribute to addressing employment issues in the hospitality sector," explains Simon Černe, head of MICE sales at Jezeršek Catering and responsible for the Slovenia House Paris 2024 project.

Klara Šmigoc, currently participating in the cooking competition MasterChef Slovenia, will also join the Jezeršek team in Paris. As the recipient of the prestigious title Hospitality Ambassador 2024, awarded by the Higher Vocational College for Hospitality and Tourism Maribor, Jezeršek has been rewarded her with a trip to the Slovenia House.

This excursion will allow Alja, Eliza, Aljaž, Luc Jan, and Klara to learn about best practices in hospitality and experience event organization at the highest level, which will undoubtedly be invaluable for their future careers in hospitality and tourism.
