Alpe-Adria Wine Festival & Clubbing Returns to Taggenbrunn
Taggenbrunn, 24. 9. 2026
Following a successful premiere, the Alpe-Adria Wine Festival & Clubbing returns to Castle Taggenbrunn in Carinthia on 15 October 2026. More than 35 winemakers from Austria, Slovenia, Italy, joined for the first time by winemakers from Croatia, will present over 100 wines. Tastings, masterclasses and experiences with wine professionals will be accompanied by regional cuisine, before the festival moves into its second chapter in the evening – Clubbing with music, dancing and socialising.
More Than 30 Winemakers And Over 100 Wines
From 2:00 PM, the historic
Castle Taggenbrunn will once again become a meeting point for the wine scene of
the Alpe-Adria region. More than 35 winemakers will present over 100
wines, with producers from Austria, Slovenia and Italy joined for the
first time by winemakers from Croatian Istria. Winemakers from Carinthia
will also form an important part of the Austrian representation, bringing the
wine region surrounding the festival into the programme.
At the heart of the afternoon are the
wines and the people behind them. Visitors will be able to meet the
winemakers, taste their wines and discover different wine regions, grape
varieties and approaches to winemaking. The tasting programme will be
complemented by masterclasses and other wine experiences with wine
professionals, offering visitors the opportunity to explore selected wines
and the diversity of the Alpe-Adria wine landscape in greater depth.
Regional cuisine will form another
important part of the festival, complementing the wines and showcasing the
culinary diversity of the Alpe-Adria region.
The first edition in 2025 welcomed more
than 600 visitors and over 35 winemakers to Taggenbrunn, setting the stage
for the festival's return in 2026.
Wine At The Heart Of Taggenbrunn
Castle Taggenbrunn, located near St. Veit an
der Glan in Carinthia, is surrounded by approximately 40 hectares of
vineyards, making wine an integral part of the estate and its identity. Taggenbrunn also produces its own
wines, which will be presented alongside those of the participating
winemakers during the festival.
Today, the historic estate brings
together winemaking, gastronomy, hospitality, culture and events,
providing a natural setting for a festival dedicated to the diverse wine and
culinary landscape of the Alpe-Adria region.
One Day, Two Chapters – From Festival
To Clubbing
As the afternoon draws to a close,
the festival atmosphere will gradually shift towards the evening, with a Sundowner
accompanied by live music setting the tone at Castle Taggenbrunn.
At 7:00 PM, the event enters
its second chapter. After an afternoon centred on wine, gastronomy and
encounters with winemakers, Clubbing with a DJ brings music, dancing and
a more informal atmosphere to the castle.
This transition is a defining part of
the festival's concept: “one day, two chapters – from festival to Clubbing.”The afternoon is dedicated to discovering wines and meeting their producers,
while the evening shifts towards a more relaxed and social atmosphere.
Where Business Meets Wine
On the same day, Taggenbrunn will
also host the Alpe-Adria Business Conference, starting at 9:00 AM and
bringing together representatives from business, tourism, sports and gastronomy
from Austria, Slovenia and the wider Alpe-Adria region. Through real-world
case studies, successful projects and best practices, participants will
explore how sporting events, strategic infrastructure and innovative
experiences can strengthen destinations, extend the tourism season, build
international visibility and create new business opportunities. Following
the morning business programme, networking will continue at the wine
festival at Castle Taggenbrunn.
Behind the Alpe-Adria Wine Festival & Clubbing
The Alpe-Adria Wine Festival &
Clubbing is organised by J-Hospitality Group, which has also been
responsible for the hotel and gastronomic operations at Taggenbrunn since 2024.
Today, the group is responsible for the Castle Restaurant Taggenbrunn
(Falstaff, Gault&Millau), the boutique hotel and café, as well as the
organisation of events and experiences.
This year’s edition is once again
organised in cooperation with a number of partners who contribute to its
cross-border character. Kronen Zeitung is the main media partner of the
2026 edition, while Transgourmet, Koželj Wines and Jacques Lemansare partners of the festival.
With its second edition, the Alpe-Adria
Wine Festival & Clubbing continues the concept established in 2025:
bringing together winemakers, wines, cuisine and visitors from four countries
of the Alpe-Adria region in one place in Carinthia, and creating a meeting
point for the region’s wine and culinary scene.
